A few weekends ago, my parents & sister came to visit as they kicked off Spring Break! It was so so much fun :) I had a detailed itinerary that didn't leave much time idle and we actually got quite a bit accomplished!
We weren't the best at getting photos of EVERYTHING, but here's a photo timeline!
Friday: we met up for lunch & after Rachel got us kicked out of a restaurant (haha, kidding, I love you sis), we got to eat at Weber Grill with Weber himself!
Then the fam got to see my work and meet my coworkers. We stayed downtown and got to see the butterfly garden (and all 3 butterflies) and walked the full 4ish miles of the canal (dad DEFINITELY didn't sleep on a bench while us girls walked… Yeah, that never happened..) haha :)
That night we played around Fountain Square because it was First Fridays! The art exhibits were open for visitors to see the displays and we got to see a couple really cute short films at small theatre (dad & Sam's favorite for sure). Then we ate at Iaria's and our sweet waitress Dee remembered Sam & I and took great care of us all!
Saturday morning we went to Eagle Creek Park and had a lot of fun. It was hard to get Rachel to stop jumping around and stomping on the frozen lake, but once we did, we got to check out the Earth Discovery Center & the Orinthology Center! These were so much fun!
We continued the tour by checking out Speedway.
Next stop: Children's Museum. Fun fact: Indianapolis is home to the worlds largest! It was a blast.

Then we drove a little around the cute neighborhoods near here, including Lockerbie Street, the LAST cobblestone street left in Indy!
Wrapping up Saturday, we spent the evening in Broad Ripple! It was fun to walk around & explore in the cooollllld. We loved the doggie bakery, finally got to try the famous Scotch eggs & Rachel got her Insomnia Cookies :)
Sunday: CHURCH! This was my favorite! We got to take the family to Northview & still in the series "the 9", we learned about Goodness. It was wonderful!
Afterwards, we ate at Sam & my favorite: Agave! My parents had a surprise bday gift for me & our favorite/awesome waiter gave us some bday flan. What a great early celebration :)
We got to drive around another favorite neighborhood and saw Sam & my favorite house!
Then we headed to the IMA & 100 acres!
It was refreshing how much dad & Sam loved the artwork. hahah.
We decided to relax the rest of the evening :) Ordered pizza from a local favorite & watched Gravity
Monday, I headed back to work & the fam went to the zoo before flying away!
It was sad to see them go & was especially sad that Sam left the same day for his 6-week California cover. Still miss him of course but so proud of him for working hard!
